How the Booking Clash Warning Works
Whenever a member tries to book tickets for an Event whose date and time conflicts with another booking they might have already processed, the system will alert them with a red warning message that shows up in the Event’s page, which says:
This event conflicts with an existing booking
When all-day events with multiple sessions are open for bookings, users frequently book into multiple sessions that overlap. This also occurs during periods with overlapping screenings or staggered start times. This warning message’s goal is to give more awareness to members, and promote a more effective tickets allocation.
This message can be edited by Admins at will from the CMS section through the following steps:
- Log into the Admin Interface.
- Navigate to the desired Branch where you wish to apply the change to.
- Hover with the mouse over System at the top-right of the page and click on CMS.
- In the Label column header search for This event conflicts with an existing booking.
- In order to modify it, Hover with the mouse over Actions on the left-hand side of the result, and click on Edit.
- If you wish to apply the copy change to the entire system and all branches, add the new desired text in the Global Content text box. If you wish to only change the text for the specific Branch you navigated into, do not touch the text present in the Global Content, but just add/change the one in the [Branch Name] Content (I.e. if you are in the London Branch, it will be called London Content).
- Click on Save or Save & Close before exiting.
