How to Update the Text on the Site using Customisable CMS

The text and media on a website is a large part of what makes each site unique. On the BAFTA Events platform, the majority of the text seen throughout the Booker Interface and Admin Site can be edited and tailored to the Admin’s needs – even down to the buttons and menu options.

A Content Management System (CMS) is a tool that is used to edit and style different copy that appears across a website. In BAFTA Events, text content can further be set to display to all Users (Global) or defined more specifically to show only to certain Users or Events (per Branch). This is helpful if copy needs to be localized, or teams/regions have specific requirements.

CMS List Page Definitions

Labels – Title or headline that succinctly denotes the content in place.

Global Content – The default content option that will be displayed to Users across all Branches.

Branch Content – Branch specific content has two routes: if set for a ‘generic’ area of the platform (i.e. the Homepage) Branch content will show only to Users from that Branch; if set within the booking flow of an Event hosted by that Branch, it will show for all Users.

WYSIWYG – Acronym that stands for What You See Is What You Get and depicts whether the respective content can be stylised, or formatted. For instance, bolded or italicized.
